The Veil, Removed

There are plenty of people who were not duped by Teh Messiah’s rhetoric; refused to drink the media-dispensed Kool-Aid, and told any and everyone we were being sold a bill of goods that the country could never hope to pay off if this guy got his hands on the levers of political power.

Moderates thought they were electing a moderate; liberals thought they were electing a liberal. Both camps were wrong. Ideology does not have the final say in Obama’s decision-making; an Alinskyite’s core principle is to take any action that expands his power and to avoid any action that risks his power….

Alinsky’s influence goes well beyond Obama, obviously. There are many wonderful Democrats in this world, but evidence suggests that rising in that party’s political hierarchy requires some adoption of a variation of the Alinsky philosophy: Power comes first. Few Democrats are expressing outrage over Nancy Pelosi’s ever-shifting explanation of what she knew about waterboarding. Those who screamed bloody murder about Jack Abramoff’s crimes avert their eyes from John Murtha. The anti-war movement that opposed the surge in Iraq remains silent about sending additional troops to Afghanistan. Obama will never get as much grief for his gay-marriage views as Miss California.

The Alinsky Administration by Jim Geraghty

So where are we now, some hundred plus days into the Obama Administration? He’s seized control of the nation’s major banks, and is looking to expand his grasp to other sections of the financial services sector, regardless of whether they took TARP money, including setting salary levels for the entire industry.

In addition to the thug tactics used to gain control of the banks, his handling of Chrysler shows He has no problem ignoring basic Constitutional law to pay back his Big Labor underwriters. By threatening secured bondholders to ‘bend over and take it’ while handing the UAW 55% control of the company, He has, in my layman’s estimation, violated the Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Amendments; and by doing so He also violated Section One of Article Four.

And His Oath of Office… y’know, that silly bit about “defending,…”

With that kind of track record, it is no wonder the overwhelming majority of the MSM can find no fault with The Magic Negro: they are waiting for their taxpayer-funded bailout, and seem more than willing to toss “under the bus” part of the First Amendment’s intent: a free, unfettered, and genetically pre-disposed to be skeptically inclined press.

Which offers a tad of a backlash.

‘Cause The One might come for them next if they don’t toe His line.
