Time to Wheel Out The Monroe Doctrine, Dubya

First, there is this:

CARACAS, Venezuela: Two Russian strategic bombers landed in Venezuela on Wednesday as part of military maneuvers, President Hugo Chavez said, welcoming the unprecedented deployment at a time of increasing tensions between Moscow and the U.S.

The Venezuelan leader said the two Russian Tu-160 bombers will conduct maneuvers and that he hopes to “fly one of those things” himself.

Russian military analysts said it was the first time Russian strategic bombers have landed in the Western Hemisphere since the Cold War. The provocative foray into Venezuela was certain to add to the strain in U.S.-Russian relations created over Russia’s war in Georgia.

Now, there is this:

President Hugo Chavez ordered the U.S. ambassador to leave Venezuela in 72 hours [ed note: he ain’t actually there] and said he was immediately withdrawing his ambassador from Washington.

Chavez said Thursday night that U.S. Ambassador Patrick Duddy is no longer welcome, just as his close ally Bolivia expelled the American envoy from La Paz a day earlier.

“They’re trying to do here what they were doing in Bolivia,” Chavez said, accusing Washington of trying to oust him.

“That’s enough … from you, Yankees,” he said during a televised rally, using an expletive.

The socialist leader said Venezuela’s ambassador to Washington, Bernardo Alvarez, would return to the U.S. “when there’s a new government in the United States.”

Okay, Dubya, this is no time to go “lame duck.” These two bit thugs are calling you out. You need to tell–in no uncertain terms–your pal “Pooty-Poot” that he has to get his shit together and fly those bombers home, stat, or those fucking Blackjacks will get blown out of the sky the moment they stray from Venezuelan airspace without clearing their vector with the US Air Force.

You cannot allow this shit to go unanswered. Fuck Chavez and his goddamn oil; his economy will crumble if we don’t buy his crude, so his threat to cut the US off is empty.

You tell BOTH of those fuckers to cool it or both their economies will pay the price, and all their pretty military hardware parked in Caracas will get blowed the fuck up.

Palin Derangement Syndrome – TalkLeft: The Politics Of Crime

This is seriously nuts. Palin asked Gibson to define what HE meant by it. (NOTE: Stellaa points out that Gibson tried the same game with Obama and Media Matters ripped Gibson for it then. Guess Sargent is ok with it when it is done to a Republican.) Indeed, her eventual answer to the question is extremely sensible (unlike Bush and McCain’s actual policies) and smart politics. She did not accept the premise of Gibson’s question and then gave a sensible answer to the question. This type of stuff is what is killing the Left blogs right now. They look like fools when they act this way

Personally, I agree with Big Tent; TPM has gone seriously insane trying to tear down Gov. Sarah Palin, to the point they are blatantly just making shit up and hoping their buddies in the MSM will pick it up and run with it.

I just hope TPM ignores the warning and keeps going full boogie loonie. Even better, let’s have a civil war among the nutroots and the rational Left.
