Sweet Jeebus! You played for the Bills, Dude…

seriously, you got kicked to the curb, Kemp. I’m supposed to put any weight in this line?
An Open Letter to Rush, Sean, Laura, Ann, Mark, et al.::By Jack Kemp

Churchill had what he called his “wilderness years” in the late 1920s and early 1930s, but as the storm clouds gathered over Europe in the ’30s, he became increasingly at odds with the government of Neville Chamberlain. He was even banned from talk radio (aka the BBC) in those days.

As war engulfed Europe and the Nazis terrorized the Low Countries and France, he was called back to service as prime minister of a divided war Cabinet. Gilbert’s history of that event says:

“By nightfall on 10 May, 1940, Churchill was prime minister. He later wrote of how, when he went to bed that night, he was conscious ‘of a profound sense of relief. At last I had authority to give directions over the whole scene. I felt as if I were walking with destiny, and that all my past life had been but a preparation for this hour and for this trial.’ Yet there was still some Conservative opposition to his emergence as prime minister; on May 11 Lord Davidson wrote to Stanley Baldwin: ‘The Tories don’t trust Winston. After the first clash of war is over it may well be that a sounder government may emerge.'”

Obviously historical parallels are never perfect, but I believe this one reflects the reality that, like Churchill, McCain’s whole life has been but preparing him to be best able to lead our nation and prosecute this war on terror to a successful conclusion.

McCain got shot out of the sky: hero there. If it wasn’t for his father being an an almighty in the US Navy, he would have been killed just as quick as any other run-of-the-mill grunt or jarhead.

Churchill? Winnie told the Houseof Lords “will you pleeze just STFU.”

And Kemp has always been a dick… I can line up Wall Street boys who will back me on this.

How Far Can a Usefull Idiot Fall?

Cindy Sheehan in Egypt for Islamists – Yahoo! News

CAIRO, Egypt – Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan joined a protest Wednesday seeking the support of Egypt’s first lady in ending a military trial of members of the country’s largest Islamic organization.

Under the watchful eyes of dozens of black-clad and helmeted anti-riot police, some 50 heavily veiled wives and children of 40 senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood detained for the past year, gathered in front of the headquarters of first lady Suzanne Mubarak’s National Council Women carrying banners calling for their release.

“I am here to protest the trial of civilians in front of a military tribunal as this is a violation to international law,” said Sheehan, who gained fame in the U.S. for her sit-in outside President Bush’s Texas ranch following the death of her son in Iraq.

“As a mother of a son who was killed in the war, I presented a letter to Ms. Suzanne Mubarak to realize how those women and children are suffering.”

Does this crazy bitch even remember who–his name wasn’t Bush–killed her kid?

Hey Hash! [Updated]

I left a comment on Maloney’s post where he cited me, roughly around three and one half hours ago.

It read, verbatim:

(in my best Sally Field impersonation)
“I’d like to thank the academy….”

He killed it?

Think he dipped into our back-n-forth? 🙂

UPDATE: I tossed this post up at 21:03 Wednesday. Now (Friday morning), I see (via an e-mail alert) it appears on Maloney’s site, time-stamped 18:08, along with the four comments that followed mine in the timeline, each delivered to my mailbox in a five comment dump, according to the alert message, on “February 14, @ 5:15PM (15 hours ago).”

So it seems the comment was NOT killed; Maloney’s just slow as hell when dealing with his “awaiting moderation” comment stack.

Also, I used “imitation,” not “impersonation.”

One should be able to quote oneself correctly. My bad.
