SI: “Conservative”; North Shore? “Not So Much”

This would never happen south of the Expressway:
New York Blade Online

Voters on Staten Island decided Tuesday to send Matthew Titone, the openly gay son of a former top state judge, to the Assembly to replace Democrat John Lavelle who died of a stroke in January.

He’d never have gotten elected if not for his father (and the local GOP foisting an absolute non-entity upon us; sweet jeebus, you guys are fucking idiots ), but I consider this win just as delicious as the one I was hoping to see.

By electing Matty, SI’s North Shore becomes (as far as I know) the first place outside of Manhattan to send an openly gay representative to Albany representing NYC….

SUCK IT, BROOKLYN! EAT SHIT, QUEENS!
(Bronx? just sit in the corner and STFU)

BEERS FOR THE QUEERS!!!
