Smell the Commie

This is funny: OpinionJournal – Cross Country

Teachers unions are supposed to promote the financial interests of, well, teachers–but not in Washington state. Here, the Washington Education Association is fighting some 4,000 nonmember teachers who don’t want their paychecks raided each year and used for political activities that they don’t believe in. “The right of free speech is being trampled” by the union political spending, complains Scott Carlson, a business teacher in Spokane. “And that’s a right I hold very precious.”

Too bad the unions don’t. The WEA derisively refers to teachers like Mr. Carlson who want their money back not as free-speech advocates but “dissidents.”

DISSIDENTS: “I Don’t Want My Money Going to Your Mookie Shit”

Meet the New Boss…

via Captain’s Quarters

Lobbyists have their calendars booked. They began receiving e-mailed invitations to “debt-reduction receptions” shortly after the election, and those invitations come with hefty price tags. Those wishing to “co-host” the event have to pony up $15,000 each, while mere guests only have to plop $2,500 down onto the table. Republicans have also set up a few of these receptions as well, but the lobbysists understand where their presence is more required — as well as their cash.

Just like that ridiculous Baker/Hamilton report (my words follow)

how do you a) believe Syria and Iran’s “best interests” are in a “stable Iraq”–while listing the tactics both countries currently employ to do THE DIRECT OPPOSITE, and b) have a “regional” summit and NOT include Israel, but use the term “right of return?”

the Beltway Brahmins believe they can fool all us rubes with smoke, mirrors, and a well turned sound bite. The incoming Democrat majority campaigned on enacting all the 9-11 Commission recommendations, but immediately scuttled one that would tear power away from second-tier committee chairs in order to consolidate and strengthen intelligence oversight:

But with control of Congress now secured, Democratic leaders have decided for now against implementing the one measure that would affect them most directly: a wholesale reorganization of Congress to improve oversight and funding of the nation’s intelligence agencies. Instead, Democratic leaders may create a panel to look at the issue and produce recommendations, according to congressional aides and lawmakers.

Because plans for implementing the commission’s recommendations are still fluid, Democratic officials would not speak for the record. But aides on the House and Senate appropriations, armed services and intelligence committees confirmed this week that a reorganization of Congress would not be part of the package of homeland-security changes up for passage in the “first 100 hours” of the Democratic Congress.

They screamed bloody murder about President Bush’s administration not accepting–whole cloth–the 9-11 Commission’s recommendations, yet immediately rejected one of the key pieces of advice that body put forward, now that they will be in the majority and that advice will strip certain people–like Nancy’s boy Murtha–of their power to muck shit up. Likewise, with the Baker/Hamilton report’s incoherent crap, they will demand the Bush administration to accept it, in toto, until it’s their turn to deal with it. And that situation’s only a month’s time away.

For me, Baker has always been ready to throw Tel Aviv under the bus; are the newly minted Democrat majority as ready to pull that trigger? And does anyone really believe Israel will put up with it?

Remember Saddam’s (frog built) reactor? They didn’t give a shit about “international reaction,” and took the sucker out, knowing full well they would catch diplomatic hell. If they see Iran and Syria being treated as legitimate–while they are iced out of the negotiations–what makes ANY of these vaunted “bipartisan” Beltway fossilized bastards found on that Baker/Hamilton team think for a NY Minute that Israel will NOT conclude they are on their own, and act accordingly?

And as an extra-credit question: “If that scenario occurred, and you were running China, what would you do, vis-a-vis The Jews?”

Remember: The Jews allegedly “run the world,” but China owns a large hunk of AMERICAN debt devices.

And if I’m a Kurd, I’m fed up to my eyeballs with all this bullshit.

just saying….
