OY! I am SO Voting for This Boy

GayCityNews – A Gay Staten Island Bid

[tag]Matthew Titone[/tag], a 45-year-old attorney, hopes to move the 24th State Senate District in Staten Island into the Democratic column after 50 years in which it has been served by the same Republican warhorse, John J. Marchi. In running his campaign, Titone is aiming as much at Joseph Bruno, the upstate Troy Republican who leads the Senate majority, currently at its narrowest in years, as he is at his opponent, Andrew Lanza, the GOP city councilman who has represented the island’s south shore since 2001.

But, perhaps most significantly, Titone, if elected, would be the first out gay or lesbian member of the Legislature to represent any district outside Manhattan.

He’s gonna lose–to an absolute, bona fide asshole, but still, I truly admired his father, and he’s exactly the kick in the balls this Island, and Albany, really needs.

Plus, it would be frickin’ delicious if the Rock sends the first openly gay guy to the Albany that wasn’t from Chelsea.
