Irony Spill on Aisle 1!

You know, it’s odd; when Republicans won elections, no one seemed to mind Rush and his energy to bring conservatives to the table. When Republicans stopped being conservatives, or at least stopped acting like conservatives and more like the kind of Democrat Lite that Kondracke and Harper prefer, they stopped winning elections — and started blaming Rush Limbaugh for it.

Yet, Limbaugh's effect never really IS addressed, even when he exhorts his true believers to stay home on Election Day (ceding the election to Obama), manipulates the Democratic parties with a wink and a nod (ceding the primaries to Obama), and throws out the meme of a “true conservative”, without ever admitting he hasn't been one himself for years (ceding the entire game to the Democrats).

It's not just the Republican candidates, Tee. It's the whole ideology.

There needs to be a fundamental shift of values within the Republican Party itself, because conservatism itself is dying, and needs to expire before contemporary liberalism is extinguished.

Take Gingrich, Pawlenty, and Jindal out of the running, out of sheer mercy, and who do you really have left?

Just the number of Democrats who fled the left and wanted “change” but not Barky should have been a huge heads-up….will the neocon power structure allow you to even hear it?

Limbaugh's radio days are nearly over anyway…he can only choose to retreat to the links, or proceed the only possible next level, teevee commentary, that'll grant him sufficient exposure for the duration.

But things have changed. Talk to four wingnuts at a meeting or at a bar, and three of them will scoff at Limbaugh as a crank or a blowhard.

There are no LEADERS in the Republican Party today. What do they have to work with, given the gravity of the day's events?
