With a majority in the Congress the Dems will shove everything they ever dreamed about (like that lunacy they called the “Global Warming Bill”) right down the electorate’s throat, come hell, high water, or what it will do to the American economy.
They want an already proven failed Euro version of Socialist Democrat bureaucracy… without any worry about how they will kill the American economy.

Yes, following the Canadian model, under the auspices of the North American Union, which is what I’ve been hollering about for ages.
First it’ll be written into trade agreements, then labor law, finally to the SCOTUS, as a result of cataclysmic civil unrest and strife.

You’d think I’d still be in support of this, but I think that the potential exists for both the right and left to eventually unify under its reinstution, once it’s publicly acknowledged just how in the tank the whole meed-ya was in for the Plastic Jesus. It’ll be one of the few initiatives they all get behind, and with no small irony on the conservatives’ side.
Of course, the minute I abandon an idea as workable, the entire nation will get behind it…:)

Maybe, but I’d like to continue to warn all and sundry that the research isn’t sufficiently in on any of that yet.

That’s not even the point, though, because, what worth does a carbon credit have? What is it, exactly? A chit, a casino chip? It’s unworkable, because you’re not trading in anything tangible.
Plus, with all respect, I think you might be missing the point of what fundamentally drives a lot of the Obamabots.
They WANT for the economy to be destroyed.
I’m not talking about someone like me, who wants a little socialist corrective here, a little price control there, but fundamentally believes our economic system is still custom-tailored for the nation America is.
I’m talking, they want to decimate the system’s very underpinnings.
Believe me. Very little of this is driven by altruistic motives.

I partially disagree. For instance, some of the northern European nations have such systems that work pretty well for them.
My point has always been, America isn’t Sweden.
