Rudy Kicks Ron Paul’s Dumbassed Ass

I didn’t watch (was flipping between the Country Music Awards and a Yankee rain out) but based on this exchange, and Allahpundit’s recounting, I’d say Rudy won the night by picking this one particular fight:
Hot Air » Rudy blasts Ron Paul’s apology for 9/11

UPDATE: VODKAPUNDIT (“Drunk blogging” the debate): “McCain looks a lot less Ho-Ahh! tonight, compared to a couple weeks ago. Does that mean he’s on or off his meds?”

UPDATE DEUCE: Watched the thing…. What the hell was up with the gong? Was Chuck Barris running the show from beyond the grave?

Dr. Ron Paul simply ignored a bullying tactic by Rudy Giuliani in Tuesday’s Republican presidental debate.
    Unphased…

Having explained the constitutional principle of non-intervention upon which this nation was founded, Paul withstood a scathing verbal assault from liberal Giuliani. Giuliani demanded Paul apologize, but the Texas Congressman stood firm.

Giuliani gained celebrity status as the mayor of New York when the Twin Towers were attacked by terrorists.

imho….paul was spot on (he articulated what had begun to dawn on me with crystal clarity THREE DAYS after the 9/11 occurrences, when i was still in the midst of everything that was happening, but was still in a state of apoplexy and outrage)…this, to me, is the central root cause of everything that has happened to us as a nation since then

rudy is still hawking myths and policies that owe more to the interests of other nations and corporate interests than they do to american policies, and americans GET that….paul’s thinking, in contrast, is far more representative of the essential, fundamental change americans really want to see in their foreign policy, because it acknowledges the crucial mistakes of the past while putting forth aggressive reforms suggesting a solid, coherent, consistent way forward

which is precisely why the power structure will not allow it

another criticism i’d like to put forward (more to the shirt laundress, not this author) is that this debate took place on fox news, which is hardly an acceptable, credible, and impartial backdrop for such a debate in america anyway

my first thought, upon seeing the follow-up interview, was that they are no longer content fucking over americans that are left of center, now they are doing rank-and-file rethugs up with a wooden dick

watching and hearing that interview, with rudy in the center, flanked by the baby jesus himself, and the black hole of charisma colmes, should have told you all you ever needed to know about rudy, and tonight’s proceedings

hey, bart? two words: “barbary pirates.”

    Google those alongside “Jefferson.”

There’s a reason the Marines sing “to the shores of Tripoli.”

  4. TC says:

but I have to give “Dr” Paul’s moonbatty nutroots Quick Response team kudos for finding my little barstool so goddamn quickly.

  5. TC says:

Really, bart, you come to my sandbox, you better be jack-ready with your “A” game.

Or I’ll just bury your fucking ass in a swamp off the Kill van Kull.

  6. hashfanatic says:

wow, according to vote.com, paul won

    paul 64%
    giuliani 13%

  7. TC says:

you realize who runs vote.com, right?

  8. hashfanatic says:

    no, who?

    *goes off to check*

  9. hashfanatic says:

    ewww, dick morris

    yuck

but wouldn’t he be MORE credible to the right
    than some “msm” poll??

no, i think this guy did well tonight
and if it gets the typical wingnut to question
to me, that’s a definite good thing, regardless of how they vote

  10. TC says:

would you, “neo-con,” or anyone else, trust a fuck who got busted sucking hooker toes?

    I THINK NOT, SKIPPY.

  11. hashfanatic says:

    rofl :)

  12. TC says:

Y’know, reading it now with some distance…

    bart’s a robot or a tool.

    you pick’em.

    “doctor” my eyes….

  13. hashfanatic says:

“Paul withstood a scathing verbal assault….”

probably the only sentence i concur with
hell, i’d like to tattoo it on my chest
except judging from the wingnut blogs
    i’m seeing almost MANIC paranoia
    masked as righteous indignance

the right does not like their own candidates

    mccain absolutely needs shock treatment
huckabee reaffirmed the rethug policy of forced breeding
    tancredo is unelectable
romney really came off like a ken doll
and rudy (arguably) did well, but only with his base

your redneck music obsession is getting frightening
and i don’t even know you

please explain bart tagging the rudester as a liberal
i’ve heard this time and time again
he’s addressing you, so it would seem bart
    comes straight from wingnut central
or is one of those wacky libertarians
    or both
    so i don’t have a clue

and lionel is fucking up on aar in the WORST way
seriously, in schizoid circles, and circles, and circles
he has never been so bad, and my antennae are up
worse than franken, worse than whitman
    this has to be deliberate

  14. TC says:

“hell, i’d like to tattoo it on my chest”

WHAT? WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THINGS RAMONE DO YOU WANT TO TATTOO?
